The DXIHub’s technology experience (Innovation Internship) program fosters student success by inspiring students to apply their education toward developing innovative solutions to real-world problems using the best and latest technologies to ensure that Fresno State and community partners throughout the Central Valley can perform at the highest level.

PROGRAM C.I.T.Y
To better serve underrepresented youth throughout the Central Valley in pursuit of STEM education, Program C.I.T.Y has been developed by the DXIHub intern team. Cal state XR Sandbox
Fresno State and the DXIHub intern team have been selected by Cal State Innovate to host a streamlined extended reality experience powered by Mozilla Hubs. Cal State XR Sandbox offers CSU educators, students, professional developers, and designers an environment to create custom virtual spaces to socialize, present project showcases, and attend instructional seminars.

Fresno State Showcased Cal State Ready Alexa Skill in 2019 which provides a virtual high school counselor assistant to users centralizing information regarding how to prepare, apply, and pay for college in the CSU system. Using Cal State Ready, counselors can prepare more personalized information and students can obtain pertinent information in a timely manner.

Immersive and augmented technology has been a continuous effort of Technology Services to provide an enhanced digital experience for student engagement. COVID-19 made the urgency to deploy new innovative digital solutions necessary in order to support student success.

Utilizing blockchains, the DXIHub intern team developed uBadges to validate and share micro-credentials through the integration of Learning Management Systems. Several digital badge experiences have been established, and this project was discussed amongst various universities at EDUCASE, highlighting opportunities and challenges for broader adoption in higher education.

Exploring creative, new mechanisms to improve the current technology support services on Fresno State's campus, the DXIHub intern team developed Io T Smart Campus. The Io T buttons have various functions ranging from press for support to collecting workspace analytics to determine benefits of increased connectivity on campus.

The DXIHub intern team partnered with Amazon Web Services to create the Bulldog Bot, Fresno State's robotic take on the school mascot. The Bulldog Bot boosts campus morale by telling jokes, playing karaoke, and quizzing students in trivia with hopes of engaging a greater number of students with campus resources.

This platform connects users with experts within a specific field to make connection easier within our Central Valley agriculture community.
