Michael Harding

Michael is a team-focused, strategic-minded over-achiever who is well-versed in accessible technology, service management, project management, academic technology, information architecture/design, employee development, and customer happiness.
Over his twenty-five-year-plus career at Fresno State University, he has collaborated with the building of several support service centers, accessible technology initiatives, and extensive IT process building and improvement initiatives. He is widely considered to have an encyclopedic knowledge of all technology used on the Fresno State campus. Michael also volunteers his time with several non-profits, assisting them with their technology, support, media, outreach, and information design needs. He is involved in several areas of Educause - most recently, mentoring, editing white papers, assisting with conferences, and serving on the IT Accessibility Steering Committee.
Michael is certified in ITIL, Creative Cloud, LEAN process improvement, customer happiness, and accessible technology. In his 25+ years at Fresno State, he also, at one time or another, held certifications in Project Management, Sun Systems Administration, Cisco Networking, and Apple Support.
Michael is known for being intuitive, empathic, perceptive, knowledgeable, calm, supportive, and having a wonderful sense of humor. He is deaf/hard of hearing.
He loves traveling, learning languages (especially Korean and ASL), pub quizzes, karaoke, volleyball, tennis, disc golf, and public speaking.
