Networking
Technology Services is the local internet service provider for the campus providing both wired and wireless connectivity and access 24/7.
The Networking group manages and maintains the hardware, monitoring tools, and operating systems that make up the campus wired and wireless network.
Technology Services utilizes a data communications network which supports high-speed access to the primary university computing resources.
Wireless Access (Wi-Fi)
Technology Services maintains a fast reliable wireless network across campus in most outdoor and indoor locations. There are two ways of securely connecting to the internet: Eduroam and Bulldogs.
Eduroam is available to all faculty, staff, and students and is the preferred way of connecting. Guests can obtain temporary access by connecting to the eduroam network and following the guest registration wizard.
- Centralizing design, installation, management, and maintenance for the wireless network ensures a more seamless user experience.
- The network functions in a predictable and reliable manner, providing simplicity, consistency, transparency, and security for everyone, regardless of where they connect to our network
- Wireless devices can move freely throughout areas with wireless service, without losing network connectivity
