Cybersecurity Awareness Month
October 2024 marks the 21st annual Cybersecurity Awareness Month, centered around the theme "Secure Our World," which emphasizes simple, daily actions to protect digital devices and data. Established in 2004 by the President and Congress, this month is dedicated to raising cybersecurity awareness across both public and private sectors. Since 2023, "Secure Our World" has been the ongoing theme, highlighting the importance of actively managing online safety. This year, Technology Services is observing the month by organizing educational events and a speaker session featuring representatives from the FBI, aiming to enhance cybersecurity knowledge and practices. These efforts are designed to help students, faculty, and staff build the skills needed to protect their digital lives and contribute to a safer online environment for everyone on campus.
