Mission Statement

Technology Services is dedicated to providing a broad range of technology-based planning, resources, and services to the students, faculty, and staff of California State University, Fresno.

Vision Statement

Technology Services will be a leader in providing effective technology and quality services and support that are integrated into the daily activities of the university community, advance teaching and learning, enhance productivity and safeguard information.

What to Expect During Your First Week:

After your appointment with Human Resources, you'll report to your new work area and you'll check in with your manager, who will be expecting you.

  • Meet with your new manager, tour your workspace, and meet your team.
  • Introduction and tour of department offices 
  • Get acclimated to new workspace, make note of anything you might need. Sign into new computer and make sure accounts are all set up
  • Get logged into your email, Zoom phone, and Slack
  • Onboarding orientation
  • Recommended online training (see below)

Courses to be Completed During the First 90 Days

When dealing with conflict at work, you need to be able to understand and adapt to the situation. Handling conflict effectively is a key skill in the workplace, especially when it comes to team conflict that could threaten organizational goals or employee well-being. In this course, you'll learn about various conflict management styles, and discover how managing team conflict quickly and appropriately can benefit both those involved and the organization as a whole. You’ll explore different approaches to conflict resolution, when to use them, and when to adapt your style. You’ll also learn about resolving conflict with difficult individuals.

Personal Conflict Styles (6min)

The Many Approaches to Facing Workplace Conflict (30 min)

Too little time, too many tasks, and everything needs your immediate attention. Sound familiar? This Challenge Series exercise explores the tools and skills needed to manage your time and cope with conflicting priorities.

Coping with Conflicting Priorities (15 min)
