Digital Document Accessibility Training

Technology Services is now offering Digital Document Accessibility Training. This training is offered in person and on Zoom. The Office of Digital Accessibility (ODA) will provide an understanding of digital document accessibility fundamentals. An exercise will be provided at the end of the training to verify knowledge of the tools and skills learned.

Use the Google Form (link provided below) if you would like to do any of the following:

Verify PDF/UA

  • You remediated your document and want us to check if it meets PDF/UA industry standards.

One-on-One Training

  • You need to complete the required Digital Document Accessibility Training.
  • You want to become the accessibility ally for your department and are ready to learn more.
  • You want to learn how to format your document before turning it into a PDF.
  • You would like to learn how to create an accessible PDF form.

Document Remediation Request

  • You would like us to work on a document for you that is more than 5 pages or contains a lot of complex content like lists or tables.
  • You would like us to create or update a fillable PDF form.

Please Note:

When attending the training an Adobe Acrobat Pro account is needed, please give enough time to request an account before your training time.

Staff and Faculty who are uploading documents to their websites.

Nope! You will only lose access to the documents folder to upload files.

We are always here to help! This training is to provide the fundamental tools and skills for creating an accessible document. We know you will not be an expert and are here to help with remediating any documents to meet the accessibility standards as they come up.

Adobe Acrobat Pro is an Adobe Creative Cloud software used for creating and editing PDFs.
